If you have visited my site in the past 5 years, you may have noticed now that it is no longer pointing to ZySec.space, but to Zanil.me. I had not anticipated a change like this, but as they say, everything happens for good.
If you read my previous post, I described how this Notion site ran into an error where the site would not load on mobile devices. In the pursuit of fixing it, I came across an amazing app called ZySec AI (more on that in a future post). I wished for a moment that it was an app that I came up with to supplement this blog, but another wise gentleman beat me to it (no, I was not trying to build anything, so all credit to them). After a lot of internal debate and reflection, I decided to move the domain to my name to ensure that this does not happen ever again, i.e., a change in domain name. This took longer than I expected because I was confused about choosing a domain name that would (or so I would like it to) represent me as an individual, as my online presence. After evaluating my options and thinking whether this decision was something that I had to spend a lot of time on, one evening I decided to go and register my new domain with the registrar spaceship.com. And I must say, the user experience was absolutely amazing and made me happy with the switch from my previous registrar (to be fair, I had not faced any issues with my previous registrar in all the years I was subscribed to them, it was Namecheap if you are still wondering. Only to experiment with something new, I went with this new registrar). I loved the representation for DNS changes that take place after making any change to them (+1 for that).
The excitement of trying this new registrar and their UI for setting up my new domain had taken away my doubts and worries about migrating to a new name (hopefully 🤞 never again, but only time will tell).
I hope and believe that this is only the beginning of all the wonderful things to come my way. Onwards and upwards 🚀
